It’s Been a While

Wow! Time sure flies when life gets in the way. I haven’t posted anything since 2017 because major life changes occurred. I moved from Illinois to Missouri. I started a new career. I purchased a home. I deployed to Afghanistan. I got married. Now, I’m playing catch up on my artwork as well as writing. With the pandemic causing so much havoc on people’s lives, I have so much ‘art’ inside me that’s screaming to be released. Lord willing, I will pick up my paint brushes and colored pencils again here very soon. I have so much to share!

We often hear that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. However, even when beauty is beheld it comes with conditions. It’s either thin, muscular, curvy, petite, or tall to fit another person’s liking.

African Sun

My DNA test indicated my Angolan heritage. I have so much to learn about my African family history. For now, I’ll allow my paintings tell my stories, hopefully, spiritually connecting me to my ancestors.

The Life of a Happy Starving Artist

Unlike the very talent Van Gogh who died broke, miserable and minus an ear, I will not be unhappy. Millions have been made from Van Gogh’s paintings, which is quite sad. However, I will not be an unhappy or financially broke artist.
